About the Hacienda

Guests come to the Hacienda to rejuvenate and relax in an atmosphere of casual elegance, where new friendships are easily made. A sophisticated getaway that gives one the feeling of owning their own personal Hacienda.

Hacienda de los Santos is located just 2 blocks from the main plaza, mercado and cathedral in Alamos. It is possible to stroll along the cobblestone streets and explore this Spanish Colonial gem on foot.

Housed in the Hacienda is a collection of religious art spanning four centuries, including santos, retablos and ex-votos. Adorning the rooms are antique Spanish Colonial furnishings. Each room is uniquely appointed. All rooms have wood burning fireplaces adding to the romantic experience of the Hacienda.

Nightlife is pleasant at the Hacienda and may include relaxing on one of the many portals, where most evenings a group of young Mexican men sing romantic ballads. One may also enjoy movies in the theater/conference room, or lectures on the architecture, history and ecosystem of the area. Another favorite is browsing the Haciendas extensive library.

Hacienda Christmas

We don't dream of a White Christmas at the Hacienda, we dream of a Spiritual, Relaxing, Warm Days, Cool Nights and Fun Filled Celebration. We dream of options...sleeping late, reading a book by one of the four pools, being waited upon at your beckon call, dancing or listening to live salsa or romantic music, enjoying fine food, walking hand in hand over the cobble stoned streets in the village, no pressure, being embraced by another culture, meeting other Hacienda guests, having a great massage, sitting in front of a fireplace, great conversations, riding a horse, going with Jim into the outback in 6X6 Pinzgauer (google this one), but most of all taking time
to love and be loved at your own pace.

That is a "Hacienda de los Santos" Christmas.

This season we will be doing two Holiday packages, which include a private charter from either Phoenix or Tucson in a 9 seat Grand Caravan private aircraft directly to the Alamos airport. Passports are required for flight.

The "Christmas Experience" will have an arrival on December 23rd with a departure on December 27th.

Just imagine a candle lit procession, with soft guitar music, as Joseph leads a very pregnant and tired Mary through a barrio close to the Hacienda. The evening is crisp and they are refused entry at each stop. We follow along and feel their pain and disappointment.  Then the huge 18th century two ton Hacienda doors open and they are lead to an authentic manager created by the Hacienda family. Many tears are shed on this journey as we finally "get it." The baby is born and the Celebration begins. Alamos is not about gifts.it's about feeling. And the feelings are shared by all, guests, locals and staff. It is in the air everywhere and you will know why you spent this Christmas at the Hacienda.

The Hacienda New Year Experience

December 30th, 31st, 1st with a departure on the 2nd

On this "experience" you will have the time to rest up from the hectic Holidays at home and be pampered till you feel whole again. This is a time for you to rejuvenate and let your cares slip away as you experience the caring of the Hacienda family. Your wish is their desire. Have your breakfast in bed, dine by your fireplace or mingle with the other guests. You will need this rest to be ready for the Big Night.

All stops are out for the Gala New Years Eve Party (Black Tie Optional). You will ease into the evening with a 5 Course Delicious Dinner with Wine. You may hear the band quietly tuning up during your candle lit dinner.

At 9:00 p.m. be ready to party and play. The evening will pass quickly. You will find dancing to this group irresistible. They are full of surprises and fun.

Get your Sweetie nearby as Mid-night approaches. The Champagne will flow and we will Toast new friends and old.

The dancing will get a bit more Romantic and at 1:00 a.m. Miniature Sandwiches will be served.
